Vision Statement
The Interlachen High School Advisory Council is committed to assist in providing education of unequalled value that meets, or exceeds the needs and expectations of our students, parents, school personnel, businesses, and community.

Mission Statement
The Mission of the Interlachen High School Advisory Council is to enable all students to become happy, educated, and productive citizens. The School Advisory Council will assist all shareholders (school personnel, students, families, businesses and communities) in providing a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment where optimal learning occurs and all students receive the academic, physical, emotional, and social skills necessary for post-secondary life.

Closed Campus
The campus is considered "closed" during the "school day." The "school day" is interpreted to mean from the time a student arrives at school until he/she is dismissed at the end of the day. No student may leave campus at any other time without proper authorization.

Opening and Closing Times
Doors open at 7:30am and students are to leave by 2:05pm, unless under teacher supervision.

Rules for Visitors
Parents should feel free to visit the school at any time; however, all visitors must check in at the front office before entering the main building. Appointments for conferences concerning student progress, discipline, etc., should be made in advance to avoid confusion and delays. Students may not bring visitors with them to school. Visitors are allowed only if approved in advance by an administrator.

Grade Computation
Each teacher is to give a nine weeks grade to each student in each class. Each teacher is to give a nine weeks exam to each student at the end of every grading period; the nine weeks exam can count for no more than twenty percent of the nine weeks grade. There are no exemptions from nine week exams. There are no semester exams. The semester grade is computed by averaging the two nine week grades. When grades are averaged for nine weeks, semester, or final grades, a rounding system is to be applied whereby averages of one-half point or above are rounded to the next highest whole number.
